“ Our dinner at Casa 14 was truly a special experience that is hard to find elsewhere in Santo Domingo. Right away you are meant to feel at home and are received warmly by the staff. The vibe is romantic and relaxing, quiet yet energetic (live music some nights!) and also communal. It's a great place to meet people whether you're visiting by yourself or with family or friends. You can't beat dining al fresco and I loved that it was also pet-friendly! You really feel like you're in a tropical paradise and that all of life's troubles seem to melt away while you're there to just be in the moment and enjoy good company and fantastic food (definitely the best I have had in the DR!) I had the mofongo and mojito but I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. But what I loved most is that you can tell that the owner is committed to supporting the local community and creating a neighborhood space that can be enjoyed just as much by locals as travelers visiting from far away. Don't miss this hidden gem while in the capital, you'll regret it! ”

“ This is a wonderful place! The craft cocktails are on point! Do yourself a favor and order their twist on a negroni, you be very happy you did!! It's listed as a hostel but there are 4 identical private rooms with a bathroom in your room. You can order breakfast for an additional $10, American, Dominican, etc. We had a avocado toast with eggs and pancakes and bacon and espresso - everything was delicious ! For dinner we had a charcuterie board, pot stickers and shrimp pad Thai and again, everything was very tasty. ”
“ So we didn’t stay at the Hostel, we went to the bar, and it was great! The owner greeted us and did her best to find us a spot! Drinks were awesome, and named after Dominican Cities. Drinks were different but so good. Ambience was very tropical and bohemian which I loved. Great place 100% recommended ”
